Hi guys,
Here I am. It’s been one week that I landed for the first time in India. And the first impression that I had is that everything goes in a different way comparing other country.
It’s such an amazing place where richness and poverty share the same street. You can find buildings New York style and as soon as you turn the corner you find tousend of people who live in a very deep poverty.
Well, at the airport I met Nakul, who is supposed to be my buddy. He is a great guy, who helped me to manage the most important stuff that I was supposed to do. Thursday he took me to Delhi downtown with a friend of him. The heat was unsteandable so they decided to take to a place where most of the students goes to hang out with other friends or etc.
There while we was trying to smoke a tipical indian pipe called hanook, we had a very interesting conversation about indian and italian country.
Even though you might think that India is a conservative country, you can find people who have a very open mind. We tackeled every king of topic and most of the time I found their idea very closet to mine. I had a realy good time.
Friday I had my first rickshaw ride. I was a little bit concerned about that. Everybody told me that actually the rickshaw leaders don’t know very much the street to take where you asked for. But I told my self that if I hadn’t had a brave heart, I wouldn’t have gone through all the year here in India.
It was gorgeous. When we got to the destination I was supposed to pay the man. Oh god, it was a bit unconfortable. I gave him 40 Rupies and he was asking for at least 50. I felt so bad that actually I came back to him to give him 20 rupies more. He was so kind even though for twice he wanted to take me to place that actually wasn’t where I live. Fortunatly I remembered the last time that Nakul took me home and I had been able to give him the right directions.
Now I go to work
See you on the next post
